The Helm Skate Festival - Starts 6th of October 2012
The Skate Festival began seventeen years ago and in October 2012 will be going into its eighteenth year. It is the largest event of its kind in Western Europe and perhaps one of the largest in Western Europe. Each year, over one hundred anglers descend upon Clew Bay, with the primary aim of catching the largest Skate, one of the common ray family. For more information, click here.
Westport Folk and Bluegrass Festival - 29th of June to 01st of July 12
The Westport folk and bluegrass festival is now moving into its sixth successful year and is acclaimed nationwide as one of the best festivals of it's kind in the country. This year will feature fifteen acts who will perform in seven different venues around the town. We'll have more information as the year goes on.
