The Helm is a family owned and family run business based in Westport. The Helm began in 1984 as a small Bar and has been a cornerstone of Westport Quays since. In 2000, we closed for a year to redevelop the premises and expanded the business to include a restaurant and apartments. This has helped us to become one of the best known holiday providers in Westport, known for our hospitality and lively atmosphere within our bar and restaurant.

The Helm's lively and friendly atmosphere and live music nightly in our Olde World Bar has throughout the years drawn many a mixture of locals and visitors from all around Ireland and much further afield alike. If your visiting Westport, The Helm is most certainly a pub worth visiting. Our bar is open seven nights a week, all year round and is situated in a beautiful location on Westport Quay overlooking Westport Harbour.
